I rented this book for a class I took and the rental price was way better than the buying price (at campus or online). This book arrived within a few days, just as expected which helped me prepare for the start of the semester and the book was in very good condition for a used book. I also enjoyed the layout of the book. It is broken up into different body systems/organs and there is a brief overview of anatomy and physiology of each body system/organ associated with each chapter followed by some exercises then a section of the medical words and definitions broken down by suffix, prefix, and combining form. There are also more exercises at the very end of the chapter and real photos of some of the diseases. Made learning the material way easier.

I bought this for a medical terminology class and it's great. There are exercises that really put the information into your head. I would recommend this also for anyone that wants a basic knowledge of common terms used in healthcare.

This textbook is extremely useful. The textbook literally helped me pass my medical terminology course with a 98% and I was really close to a perfect score! The textbook has prefixes, suffixes, and Latin roots that was frequently used in my medical terminology class. It had a lot of helpful diagrams of different parts of the body. It helped me visually examine the different body systems and its components!

Great book. Even if you didn't have to use it for a course, if you are interested in anatomy and physiology, it is well-written and entertaining. Would highly recommend.

Some of them, like the "hero" of this book, do it in an honorable manner and take care of their "chickens" unlike the ones we usually read about who strand people in trucks and abandon them to their fate. An eye opener for sure.

I can now imagine what happened to it.Kimball Taylor stumbled upon a complex tale of human trafficking along the US-Mexico border when he stumbled across thousands of abandoned bicycles in the canyons and ranches immediately north of the border. WhIle others took the existence of these bikes for granted, he thought to wonder how the came to be there.Taylor's storytelling almost makes you forget the years of research it took to follow the bikes on a trail that was dangerous, and almost non-existent at times.Refreshingly, the facts are retold without judgement as to whether the border issues are right or wrong. I did find the story a bit dry at times and a bit hard to follow. Nevertheless, it's a fascinating look into another world!

I purchased this book after listening to the writer explain his story and his research experiences on Book TV. I don't think I could have imagined all that transpires for those crossing illegally, or in the life of a coyote. The additional topic of the bicycles gave this story another level of interest. It is really well-written..

I really do not write many reviews. The exceptions are products that are exceedingly wonderful or those that just suck. This book is exceedingly wonderful. The author tells many stories that are layered. The plot goes backwards, forward, and sideways. This makes for a very interesting read. This is also a very timely revelation about what is going on at our border. It seems to me building a gigantic wall is a waste of money because as someone in the book says: "It is all smoke and mirrors. There is always another way."

The Coyote's Bicycle is truly a modern day legend. Kimball's descriptive comparisons are interesting and imaginative and the story takes takes you down a winding path of astounding yet simple ingenuity. The storyline as well as the likeable characters within, forced me into an entirely new viewpoint concerning migrant crossing, Borderland Security and the people themselves. Not only have I recommended this book to friends, I will be re-reading it again soon myself. In my opinion, this story is more important now than ever for the times we live in. Um... BEYOND happy. Couldn't buy another one of these for my DAD, so I just drove out to South Compton to get one. Yikes! Came back with only part of my grill still on! What??? Anyway, this is quite the little robot. I tell her to set timers for me so I don't lose my Ebay auctions. I ask her to wikipedia historical events. I tell her, "Alexa, put toothpaste on my shopping list" "Play some disco funk" "Turn it UP!" "Play 95.5 KLOS (Heidi and Frank local talk show)" and she DOES it! I take a cat nap and I tell her "Alexa, wake me up in 45 minutes". She does it! I'm so happy with it. I try to set alarms on my phone when I am tired and I don't wake up till the next day!I can buy a special coffee pot of light bulb and she can operate them too. My home automation is fairly sophisticated already so I don't think I will need her for any of that but she is going to learn a lot. Sky is the limit on what they can do with this little personal assistant. It's not even available yet really. I feel lucky to have her and I hope she will soon be a great TV guide who can record my shows. Doubtful but maybe if everybody can play nice together.

The Echo is easy to set up and use and I was fine without the book. However I love the Echo so much that I bought several as Christmas presents and just knew that my tech challenged parents would be calling me every 2 minutes asking for help. I would than become frustrated by their questions and the Echo would sit unused. So I bought the Master Your Echo book and gave with the actual Echo. Explained to my parents that I would not be helping them and to read the book. Guess what the book was a simple instructional aid and both parents love the Echo and now know more than I do on different apps and features.
